Nathaniel (Nate) Flanagan is an oil painter from Cincinnati Ohio. Working in plein air (on location) and in the studio, Nathaniel searches for the truth in nature, in his own experiences. He was always into art, since a small child, taking art classes all thru highschool and onto the Art Institute of Ohio learning Color Theory, Design Fundamentals, and Observational Drawing. Taking foundational course, passion for learning, and going outside, Nathaniels work has showcased an effort to truly understand nature and light. Painting mainly landscapes, Nathaniel also paints still life, figurative, cityscapes, etc. 

Nathaniel has been an "Artist to Watch" in Plein Air Magazines October 2024 issue. He has won best of show two years in a row at Mariemont Plein Air Paint Out. He is represented by Eisele Gallery in Hyde Park, Cincinnati, Ohio.
